The Discipline

The African Studies minor is designed to complement several majors in preparing students interested in work related to the continent of Africa or the African Diaspora.

      WHEN TAUGHT:Fall; Winter
      PREREQUISITE: Enrollment in the African Studies minor.
      DESCRIPTION: Directed research project (library and/or on-site experience) related to African studies or the African diaspora.  Must be supervised by faculty with extensive in-field experience in Africa and African Studies.
      NOTE: Students may adapt their research project to their individual major requirements with the approval of their major department.
